Interview Experiences
presentation, 2 interviews, tour
pleasant
Very meh. Introduction by eccentric faculty member. Then brief interviews with Chair and Program Director. After this go on tour of the facilities. Day ends after after afternoon lectures and brief question/answer session with residents.
Program Advantages
phenomenal reading stations, great location within NJ, very nice faculty, only fellow is mammo, lots of construction to make a cancer center
Location is close to NYC, so for those who must be in the area this is a plus. Beautiful hospital and surrounding areas, good for families.
Program Disadvantages
not well known, I was told initially not to bother applying here, but I'm very glad I did... I ranked it higher than Cornell
Area is extremely expensive. Residents were a little snippy. Morristown had an incident a few years ago in which basically a whole class of residents left the program. When asked about this the residents got very defensive and insulting.
