Interview Experiences
Loved the vibe of the residents. Seemed very smart but laid back. Very friendly atmosphere. Was considering Cornell vs NYC as 1st rank and just got a better feel from Cornell. (Know a number of current residents at Cornell who ranked it above NYU for what
Breakfast/presentation, chat with residents, 3 interviews, lunch
One of my best interview days. Had breakfast, 3 interviews that were super pleasant, then lunch. Just really great.
Program Advantages
Housing, great atmosphere, good fellowships
friendly attendings, informal atmosphere, strong institution (New York-Presbyterian)
MSKCC, HSS, reputation, housing/location benefit
NYC location. MSKCC and HSS rotations. Super nice residents. Tons of perks. Super nice faculty.
Program Disadvantages
facilities weren't as nice as you'd expect for the reputation, Chair is very young and seemed disinterested when he found out I was from GW and not Gtown - his loss
Very few. Not quite MGH or MIR, but great place. Would have been ecstatic to match here had I not matched where I had.
