Interview Experiences
meet with PD, tour dept, 3 interviews, talk with residents during lunch.
pleasant
easy going. several interviews. residents friendly and seemed happy.
extremely nice pd.
PD very pleasant
Interviewers use very standardized set of interview questions
Interviews with PD, chairman, vice-chairman and a chief resident
Introduction by PD followed by relaxed interviews. Quick tour and then noon conference with excellent deli lunch.
Program Advantages
Excellent PD, very motherly. Chairman suppposedly also excellent, although he was out when I interviewed. Very happy residents. Great facilities and set-up.
structured curriculum, very happy residents, dedicated PD and chair, great teaching, great radiology facilities
program director is super friendly. no call or weekends first year.
supportive program
Very light first year schedule
Friendly residents
Very strong teaching and good pathology, one of the best of the community programs in NYC and only getting stronger. Residents really happy to be here and seem to be well taken care of. Faculty are very approachable and pro-resident. Great pay.
Program Disadvantages
Location. Relatively new program (but great future).
no graduates yet, unknown where they will attend fellowship, though PD will call in connections. Very close to my in-laws... jk, I love'em.
staten island - $10 a day to take the bridge from brooklyn
Staten Island bro, though many residents commute from other boroughs. Still a new program that does not have much name recognition outside of NYC area.
